Google Slaps Social Media Marketers
Check out this video from Michelle Macphearson called the Social Media Slap from Google. Apparently if all of your links are from social media, Google takes your rank away. She says don’t stop using social media, but SEO comes from a variety of sources – Social Media Slap Video. She believes this change has happened within the last 6 months.
Google is looking closely to find all unique content, so be sure you are not putting the same content on all of the social media you are in as well. What was working isn’t anymore. We knew it would happen sooner or later didn’t we? The Internet changes so fast, you have to keep up and don’t stop using some of the tried and true methods.
